Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of the hosted Wispboard service. By creating an account, saving a board, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using hosted service features, you agree to them.
1. The service
Wispboard provides a browser-based canvas, local drafts, private board storage, exports, invitations, folders, account recovery, and real-time collaboration. The service is independently operated from Poland and may change as it is developed.
2. Browser drafts and accounts
You may draw without an account. Anonymous drafts are stored primarily in your browser and may have a pseudonymous, short-lived server recovery copy. An account is required for permanent storage, a private workspace, and creating invitation links. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
3. Privacy and sharing
Boards are private unless their owner grants membership or enables an invitation. Anyone who obtains a valid invitation can view the board and export it as a PNG without an account, and may edit it when editing is enabled. Treat invitation links as confidential. Owners are responsible for choosing collaborators and may revoke sharing. Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Your content and administrative preview
You retain ownership of content you create or upload. You grant the service operator a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, process, transmit, preview, archive, and export that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and enforce the service or comply with law. You must have the rights and permissions required for everything you add.
The administration interface offers read-only previews that do not join collaborator presence and do not let an administrator edit a board through the preview. Authorized administrators may review previews, delete boards or accounts, and the server operator may access stored content when reasonably necessary for security, abuse handling, requested support, recovery, or legal compliance.
5. Illegal and prohibited content
Illegal content is not accepted on Wispboard. You must not upload, create, solicit, share, or link to content that is unlawful; sexually exploits or endangers a child; contains non-consensual intimate imagery; makes credible threats; facilitates fraud, malware, or unauthorized access; unlawfully infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights; or is intended to harass, exploit, or seriously harm another person.
You must not evade access controls, probe the service without authorization, interfere with availability, automate account spam, impersonate others, or use Wispboard to coordinate unlawful activity.
6. Reports and enforcement
Report suspected illegal content or serious abuse to mail@wispboard.duckdns.org and include the relevant board or invitation URL and enough information to locate the material. Do not forward illegal material by email.
The operator may restrict access, revoke invitations, preserve relevant records, remove content, suspend or delete accounts, or report matters to competent authorities when reasonably necessary to address a violation, protect users or the service, or comply with law. Action may be taken without advance notice in urgent or legally required cases. Good-faith mistakes can be appealed through the support email.
7. Storage, inactivity, and exports
Editable boards that remain inactive for the configured period may become downloadable PNG archives. A permanent invitation may continue as an archive download until the owner deletes the board. Empty boards and anonymous recovery copies may be swept automatically. Export important work regularly; storage and backups do not guarantee recovery.
8. Availability and liability
The service is provided on an 'as available' basis without a promise of uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, or lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
9. Suspension, deletion, and ending use
You may stop using Wispboard and delete boards you own. The operator may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security threats, non-payment of any future paid service that you expressly order, or legal requirements. Account and privacy requests may be submitted to the support email.
10. Governing terms and changes
These terms are governed by applicable Polish law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Material changes will be announced where practical. Questions and legal notices can be sent to mail@wispboard.duckdns.org.
